The Story Behind Da Sauce

Throughout my life, I've noticed there are two kinds of people: those who love to use sauces and those who don't. My brother and I fall firmly in the first group. Almost every meal we eat includes some kind of sauce or marinade, with only a few exceptions.

As we grew older and headed off to college, we discovered our love for cooking. Whether it was preparing fresh fish after a fishing trip when we were younger or whipping up small meals for our college roommates, we found joy in experimenting with different sauces. We loved blending flavors to create something delicious, and every dish we made was elevated by the addition of a sauce that made it even better.

My brother and I were college athletes, and having grown up around our parents’ restaurant, we were no strangers to the kitchen. We learned a lot about cooking from our dad and by watching cooking shows and videos. Once we left for college, cooking at home became essential. Juggling practice schedules, classes, and meal prep became part of our daily routine. Without our parents to cook for us, we quickly adapted and started making our own meals.

As athletes who travel often, we've had the chance to experience a wide variety of foods from different places all over. Our aim is to inspire your cooking and bring some new flavors to your meals at home. We're always experimenting and coming up with fresh ideas to help transform the way you cook.

After graduating, I spent a lot of time considering my next steps and explored various paths. One idea kept coming back to me, especially after many customers at our restaurant suggested I bottle our teriyaki sauce. That’s when we decided to start a company with the goal of bringing our flavors to kitchens worldwide. From the meals we made in our college dorm to the dishes we now create at home, we wanted to enhance your cooking experience. So, welcome to Da Sauce Family!
